Visualization COURSES
VIZ 2008 and 3ds Max: Core Concepts
Autodesk VIZ and 3ds Max are two of the most sophisticated and powerful visualization tools in their class. The goal of this course is to present students with the basic tools needed to work in VIZ and 3ds Max, such as how to configure and render scenes, create and edit 3D geometry, understand and apply lighting and materials for realism, and create desktop animations. Attendees should have some knowledge of 3D modeling concepts prior to attending this course.
VIZ /3ds max: Beyond the Basics
Building on the lessons learned in Core Concepts, this course teaches users how to work with photometric lighting data, radiosity settings and exposure control to achieve photorealistic images. They also learn the lighting, materials and render settings unique to the mental ray rendering engine, and additional 3D modeling techniques to create complex objects. Also covered are animation tools such as the Curve Editor, Dope Sheet, Schematic View utility and Inverse Kinematics.
NavisWorks 2009: Core Concepts
You’ll learn how to open, review, and run object-interference checks on 3D models. You’ll also learn how to link to task-scheduling files and create 4D construction simulations. Using the Animator and Scripter tools, you’ll create interactive animations. In addition, you’ll learn how the Presenter tools can help create photorealistic images and animations.
