Frequently Asked Training Questions

1. What time does my class start?

All of our open enrollment courses begin at 9:00 AM local time. Custom courses may run on different schedules, and your resource coordinator will inform you if this is the case.

2. How much does training cost?

All of our open enrollment course costs are listed with the other course details on the schedule pages. Prices vary for other training options; please contact us for details.

3. How do I pay for training?

Pre-payment is required for all open enrollment training. The only exception to this is when training is purchased in conjunction with a product order and standard payment terms can apply. You will be invoiced for the training class and will not be confirmed into the class until payment is received. You may pay the invoice by check, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express. Please make checks payable to Avatech Solutions, Inc. For all forms of payment, please include your name, company name, class, and class date. Upon credit approval by Avatech Solutions, Inc., payment arrangements for classes may be made through a purchase order. Our cancellation policy must be included on purchase orders. When enrolling for classes, make sure that you are authorized to incur a financial obligation for your organization. If you have any problems securing funds to pay the invoice, you need to contact us to reschedule your course.

Fees include tuition, applicable course materials and a certificate of completion (unless otherwise stated in purchasing quote). Avatech Solutions is an Autodesk Authorized Training Center and a registered provider of CES Learning Units (LUs) from The American Institute of Architects (AIA). We are responsible for reporting to the AIA/CES the names of AIA members attending our programs to ensure that members receive their LUs.

4. Will you feed me while I am taking training?

We’re happy to provide bagels and/or doughnuts to help start your day off right, but you are on your own for lunch. If you don’t feel like bringing a lunch, we can provide you with a list of local restaurants so you can go out to grab a bite.

5. What is your cancellation policy?

If you are unable to attend as planned, please call the Avatech Training Center as soon as possible. Provided you give at least ten (10) days notice prior to the first day of class, you may cancel or reschedule your enrollment without an additional charge. However, because class sizes are limited, student cancellations made less than ten (10) business days prior to the first day of class will be charged the full class fees. Under these circumstances, students will be allowed to re-register to attend the same class on a future date. Student substitutions are acceptable with at least two (2) day’s notice before the class begins. There is no penalty for student substitutions. The substitute attendee must meet course prerequisites or be approved by either the Course Instructor or Avatech’s Training Coordinator.

Avatech Solutions reserves the right to cancel classes lacking sufficient enrollment. In the event a cancellation is necessary, Avatech will notify students no later than five (5) business days before the first day of class, making every attempt to place the student in the next available class. Pre-paid students who are registered in a class that is cancelled by Avatech are eligible for a full refund.

6. What if I'm not satisfied with my training experience?

Class Re-Sit Policy
Avatech Solutions offers a variety of training options. These courses are extremely technical and the duration is compressed to meet the needs of our clients. As such, some students may struggle with concepts.

Our Re-Sit Policy has been designed to support students who:

  • Have interest in reviewing course material again for further comprehension
  • Were unexpectedly absent from a class for which they had enrolled

Avatech Solutions allows students to repeat a training course at no cost. The Re-Sit policy is good for all training courses on our public schedule and assumes the student will bring their course materials back to class with them. The re-sit is allowed based on Avatech Solutions’ regular schedule only and on a space-available basis. If you are interested in a class re-sit, please let us know within 60 days of your training class, and submit your request by calling us at 800-706-1000.

Satisfaction Guarantee
Avatech Solutions makes every possible effort to ensure that a student is equipped with prerequisite knowledge prior to class enrollment. Our goal is to provide students with the highest quality training possible. In the event you determine that you are not satisfied with a training course, please let us know within 60 days of your training class, and submit your request by contacting us.

If you are not satisfied with your training experience, let us know within 60 days and we'll offer you another class at the location of the original training or we will refund your initial course fee. This is available to any fully paid student who completes the entire course.

7. Do you have an inclement weather policy?

Yes. Many Avatech Training Centers are located in areas where inclement weather may force the cancellation or delay of a class. Please call the specific Training Center to confirm a cancellation if the local public schools have cancelled classes.

8. I just had a training class and now I have questions about the software.

Avatech understands that once students finish a training class, they may run into a situation back at the office that calls for expert advice. That’s why we give students free e-mail-based technical support on the application just learned for 30 days after the end of class is over. The FREE 30 days of technical support only applies to the application learned during the Avatech Training Center class. This offer is only good for the student who attended the class and cannot be transferred.

If you are not satisfied with your training experience, let us know within 60 days and we'll offer you another class at the location of the original training or we will refund your initial course fee. This is available to any fully paid student who completes the entire course.

9. Will you teach me about a product that has been discontinued

We occasionally offer courses that cover discontinued or old versions of Autodesk products. We are also able to provide custom training that would satisfy your needs. Please contact us for details!

10. Is there anything I need to know about parking?

Each location has different parking arrangements. One of our training coordinators will contact you prior to the training to provide you with training center specific information.

11. I’m traveling to your city for this course. Can you tell me where to stay?

Visit our locations page to find out more about the hotels near our offices.

12. What time does class end?

Classes vary, but they generally end between 4 and 5 pm

13. How many students will be in the class?

Class size can vary from one student to ten students. Our training coordinators can tell you the exact number before the class begins if you’d really like to know.

14. Do I need to bring my laptop or anything else to class?

Some of our students like to bring note-taking materials, but you do not bring anything to class other than a willingness to learn!
